Judging criteria for the Kmac Strain Smackdown

The judges for the Kmac Strain Smackdown were tasked with evaluating the strains based on three criteria: taste, aroma, and effects. Each strain was judged on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best score.

Round 1: Taste Test

The first round of the Kmac Strain Smackdown was the taste test. Each strain was evaluated based on its flavor profile and how it tasted when smoked. The East Coast Kmac had a taste resembling that of spicy coffee, cookies and mint, while it’s west coast counterpart had earthy and sweet flavors. Both had a great taste in their own right depending on the taste you enjoy more so the judges gave them both an 8.

After the taste test, the scores were as follows: East Coast – 8. West Coast – 8

Round 2: Aroma Test

The second round of the Kmac Strain Smackdown was the aroma test. Each strain was evaluated based on its aroma when the flower was broken up. This is where the two differed wildly. The West Coast Kmac strain had a much more citrusy and sweet aroma. On the other hand Blue Moon’s own East Coast Kmac had a much more pungent earthy smell according to the judges.

After the aroma test, the scores were as follows: East Coast – 7 West Coast- 8.5

West Coast is in the lead, but will it continue?

Round 4: Effects Test

The third round of the Kmac Strain Smackdown was the effects test. Each strain was evaluated based on its effects on the judges. The original east coast Kmac had more energizing effects and produced a euphoria and also appeared more portent. The test was done by taking the exact same amount of the cannabis bud and smoking method to ensure a proper comparison. The West Coast on the other hand appeared less potent and provided a more sedative high.

East Coast – 10 West Coast- 7

Final Round: Overall Experience

The final round of the Kmac Strain Smackdown was the overall experience. Each judge was asked to rate their overall experience with each strain. Using the criteria the judges found that the east coast Kmac won the showdown simply because of its high potency and effects which is typically the most important category among cannabis enthusiasts. West coast Kmac is a great strain to try for any lover of the Kmac strain just to see the different aroma and flavour a different grower will bring.

After the final round, the scores were as follows: East Coast – 34 West Coast- 31

The winner of the Kmac Strain Smackdown

After all of the rounds were completed, the winner of the Kmac Strain Smackdown was announced: East Coast Kmac! This strain was the winner by a close decision, with a total score of 34 out of 40. Edging out the competition this makes sense given it being cultivated by the original grower who came up with this masterpiece.
